ABSC is seeking a SharePoint / Power Platform Developer & Administrator to join our team supporting the Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) Information Technology Services (ITS2) program, delivering secure, resilient technology supporting Air Force operations across the National Capital Region, including the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews, and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. Spanning cybersecurity, engineering, enterprise operations, infrastructure modernization, logistics, and 24/7 mission support, AFNCR ITS2 also supports the National Military Command Center (NMCC), Joint Staff, and other mission partners—giving technical professionals the opportunity to solve complex challenges while helping keep critical national-defense capabilities connected, protected, and operational.
As a SharePoint / Power Platform Developer & Administrator, you will provide administration, development, troubleshooting, and operational support for Microsoft SharePoint Online (SPO), Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms, and Microsoft Power Platform solutions supporting AFNCR ITS2 customers. This role combines hands-on application development with enterprise platform administration, customer engagement, operational support, and modernization.
Work Location: The position is full-time on-site at Joint Base Andrews (JBA) with ad-hoc telework based on mission requirements and prior client approval.
Security Clearance: An active Secret security clearance or higher is required for this role.
Responsibilities
The SharePoint / Power Platform Developer & Administrator will support activities including:
- Provide technical support, administration, development, and troubleshooting for SharePoint Online (SPO) and Microsoft 365 collaboration environments supporting AFNCR ITS2 customers.
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions that address customer, operational, and mission requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including:
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
- Develop and maintain custom web-based SharePoint solutions utilizing technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, JSON, Bootstrap, and React JS.
- Resolve Tier 1–3 SharePoint Online incidents, service requests, and operational issues in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ITIL processes.
- Administer SharePoint Site Collections throughout their lifecycle, including:
- Site creation and configuration
- Permissions management
- Governance
- Content management
- Site maintenance
- Decommissioning activities
- Manage SharePoint permissions, Active Directory-integrated access controls, user and group memberships, and administrative functions across multiple environments.
- Design and modify SharePoint pages, layouts, branding, navigation, and user interfaces to support customer and mission requirements.
- Monitor SharePoint environment health, site usage metrics, performance, and service availability to maintain a stable and reliable enterprise environment.
- Support enterprise collaboration initiatives, platform modernization, workflow automation, and process improvement efforts across AFNCR ITS2-supported organizations.
- Utilize BMC Helix, Remedy, ServiceNow, or equivalent enterprise ticketing platforms to document, track, update, and resolve incidents, change requests, and service requests.
- Participate in Change Management processes, including implementation support, outage coordination, testing, and documentation of system changes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), knowledge articles, user guides, and training materials for customers and support personnel.
- Conduct customer engagement and requirements-gathering sessions to understand business and technical needs and translate them into effective SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
- Coordinate across application teams, database administrators, cybersecurity personnel, infrastructure teams, and other technical stakeholders to support secure and compliant system operations.
- Test, debug, refine, and enhance software and platform solutions to improve functionality, reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Support the development, operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of enterprise applications.
- Maintain compliance with DoD, Air Force, AFNCR ITS2, cybersecurity, and enterprise operational policies and procedures.
- Work independently and manage multiple technical priorities in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
Requirements
Education and Years of Experience
Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
Option 1 – Standard Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Systems, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering/Engineering Technology, Software Engineering/Programming, Management, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Business/Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience, of which at least four (4) years must be specialized experience.
Option 2 – Master’s Degree Substitution
- Master’s degree in one of the disciplines identified above.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience, of which at least three (3) years must be specialized experience.
Option 3 – Experience Substitution
- No degree required with a minimum of ten (10) years of general professional experience, of which at least eight (8) years must be specialized experience demonstrating the technical proficiency required for the position.
Specialized experience should include applications programming, database management systems, enterprise application development and support, and the ability to develop complex software solutions to satisfy technical and business objectives.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience administering and supporting SharePoint Online (SPO) within enterprise, DoD, federal, or similarly complex environments.
- Strong experience developing, configuring, customizing, and troubleshooting SharePoint solutions.
- Experience developing and supporting Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including:
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- Power BI
- Strong working knowledge of web development and application technologies, including several of the following:
- JavaScript
- HTML
- CSS
- jQuery
- JSON
- Bootstrap
- React JS
- Visual Studio Code
- Experience administering SharePoint Site Collections, permissions, governance, content, and access controls.
- Experience managing user and group permissions and integrating access controls with Active Directory or Microsoft enterprise identity services.
- Ability to design and customize SharePoint pages, layouts, branding, navigation, and user experiences.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications through incident, problem, change, and service request processes.
- Experience with BMC Helix, Remedy, ServiceNow, or equivalent enterprise IT service management/ticketing systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving application and platform issues across Tier 1–3 support levels.
- Experience developing technical documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, user guides, and end-user training materials.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to gather customer requirements and translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, technical teams, leadership, and mission stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently or under general direction while effectively managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across application development, database, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations teams.
- Ability to operate effectively within a highly regulated DoD environment.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Salary
Salary is commensurate with education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and qualifications. The anticipated salary range for this requisition is $90,000–$165,000 annually. The salary range represents the anticipated compensation range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or an offer amount. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the responsibilities of the position, relevant education and certifications, years and depth of experience, specialized technical expertise, security clearance, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, alignment with applicable market data, contractual labor category requirements, applicable bargaining agreements (if any), and other applicable laws or requirements.
